Women In Nutraceuticals to Participate in SupplySide West Presentations and Co-Host Networking Reception

CHANDLER, Ariz. (October 20, 2022) – Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN), the non-profit spearheaded by a cohort of global nutraceutical leaders, will have a significant presence at SupplySide West in Las Vegas, NV, November 1- 4, 2022.

Starting off on Tuesday November 1st, as part of the NCN Ingredients & Technology Investor Meeting, there will be a panel discussion on the pipeline for funding women in research, moderated by WIN board member Lynda Doyle, President & CEO, Avant Nutrition, LLC. Joining her in the discussion of the challenges women face transitioning from the lab into entrepreneurship are Emily Ho, PhD, Linus Pauling Institute and Mary Phillips PhD, STEMMbridge LLC.

On Wednesday November 2nd from 1-2 pm WIN will co-host the Women of SupplySide Networking Reception in the SupplySide Garden in the Expo Hall. Members of the WIN Board of Directors will share insights into the goals of the organization and showcase opportunities to get involved—from membership to sponsorship and beyond. All genders welcome.

After the reception Artemis International will host a Toast to WIN happy hour from 3 – 4 pm in booth #3845.

On Thursday November 3rd from 2:15-2:45 pm on the SupplySide Stage (booth 5670), WIN President Heather Granato will host the session ‘Inspiration from the research lab.’ During the interactive panel discussion, Granato will discuss the benefits of bringing more women into research and science—both in the lab and as the focus of research studies—with Jessie Hawkins, PhD, Franklin Health Research; Karen Hecht, PhD, AstaReal Inc.; and Susan Hazels Mitmesser, PhD, Pharmavite.

“We’re pleased to have so many WIN related activities at SupplySide West, which is such a significant event for the industry,” said WIN board chair Karen E. Todd, Vice President Global Brand Marketing, Kyowa Hakko. “The overwhelming response from sponsors, supporters, and individuals immediately becoming members tell us that the industry knows it will benefit from our programs.”

Officially launched just weeks ago, this non-profit organization to further leadership opportunities for women and promote inclusive research into women’s health has already attracted support from numerous sponsoring and supporting companies, publishers, and trade associations.
